In the realm of combat, thieves excel in delivering lightning-fast bursts of melee damage to their adversaries. With unparalleled agility, they dart across the battlefield, striking swiftly and relentlessly.

Advanced Vocations

In Dragonā€™s Dogma 2, two advanced vocations are available: Warrior and Sorcerer.

Warrior

šŸ‰ Master Every Path: Dragonā€™s Dogma 2 Vocations List (2024)

So, like, the Warrior is super strong and stuff, wearing this big heavy armor and swinging around these huge swords and hammers! They can take out bad guys with just one hit, and they’re like, really good at smashing through a bunch of enemies at once!

To unlock the Warrior, you gotta find one of those big swords first. They don’t sell them in shops, so you gotta go find one in a treasure chest somewhere out there in the world. One easy way to get started is by doing this quest called Vocation Frustration. You’ll learn about it from this person at the Vocation Guild in Vernworth.

They’ll tell you about this weapons shop that got taken over by monsters, and you gotta go to this place called Trevo Mine, which is full of goblins, northwest of Vernworth. In this cave, there’s a treasure chest hiding a basic greatsword. Bring that back to the Vocation Guild, and boom! You unlock the Warrior vocation! Easy peasy!

Sorcerer

šŸ‰ Master Every Path: Dragonā€™s Dogma 2 Vocations List (2024)

Wizards wield their mystical energies through enchanted wands. They excel in casting spells from a distance, unleashing devastating magical attacks upon their foes. However, their spells require time to charge and cast.

Wizards must maintain distance from enemies to avoid being vulnerable to attacks. Yet, once they unleash their magic, they can wreak havoc on the battlefield, proving to be formidable adversaries.

How to Unlock Sorcerer:

To unlock the Sorcerer, you must obtain the archistaff. At the start of the game, archistaves aren’t available for purchase in shops. Instead, you’ll need to find one in a treasure chest located in the wilds. Follow the quest “Vocation Frustration,” an early-game quest you’ll learn about by speaking with the Vocation Guild receptionist in Vernworth.

You’ll be informed about a local weapons shop whose inventory has been seized by monsters along the roads. Your task will be to venture to Trevo Mine, which has been overrun by goblins. It is situated northwest of Vernworth.

Within the depths of the cave, you’ll discover a treasure chest containing an archistaff. Retrieve the archistaff and bring it back to the Vocation Guild to unlock the Sorcerer vocation.

Hybrid Vocations

In Dragon’s Dogma 2, there are several hybrid vocations available: Magick Archer, Mystic Spearhand, Trickster, and Warfarer.

Mystic Spearhand

šŸ‰ Master Every Path: Dragonā€™s Dogma 2 Vocations List (2024)

The Mystic Spearhand is super cool because they’re awesome at both close-up and long-range fighting! They use a special weapon called the Duospear. It lets them smack bad guys up close or zap them from far away with magic. Being a Mystic Spearhand means you’re ready for any kind of fight, whether it’s up close and personal or from a distance!

This weapon helps you hit many enemies together. You can freeze them or throw knocked-out foes at others.

How to Unlock Mystic Spearhand:

Unlocking the Mystic Spearhand you need to complete two quest paths.

Quest 1:

Sure, here’s the paragraph broken down into smaller paragraphs:

For Quest 1, head to the ransacked village of Harve, which sits directly west of Vernworth along the coast. While there, you might encounter Fyoran, a beastren man seeking aid in clearing out the monsters plaguing the area.

Accept Fyoran’s quest, “Scaly Invaders,” and set out to defeat the Saurians causing trouble. Once you’ve completed the task, return to Harve. If more Saurians attack, take them down to finish the quest.

As you explore the village, another quest titled “Trouble on the Cape” will become available. Fyoran will inform you about villagers trapped in Stormwind Cave. Agree to help rescue them, and after overcoming the Saurian threat, ensure the safety of the trapped villagers.

However, upon your return, Fyoran finds himself in a heated argument with the mayor and is subsequently exiled from the village.

Quest 2:

Upon returning to the village of Melve, you’ll discover it besieged by a formidable drake, marking the beginning of your second quest, the “Readvent of Calamity.” Despite the drake’s strength, you’ll manage to defeat it with the assistance of Ulrika and some armed guards.

One of these guards is a skilled Mystic Spearhand named Sigmund, whose abilities force the drake to retreat after a brief skirmish. After speaking with Ulrika, depart from the village.

After a few days, return to Melve and visit Ulrika’s house, where you’ll overhear her conversing with Martin. Spend the night in the village, but wake to find Ulrika missing. Lennart, the village’s protector, will implore you to locate her.

Discover Ulrika has fled to Harve, a seaside village, and find her standing on the pier. Speak with her and reassure Lennart of her safety before departing for Melve.

Upon your return to Melve after several days, you’ll find it occupied by soldiers, initiating the quest “Home Is Where the Hearth Is.” Scale one of the walls to enter the village, proceed to Ulrika’s house, and meet with Lennart.

He’ll explain the villagers’ need for weapons. Retrieve four swords from the storeroom down the main path, enlist the villagers to distract the guards, and acquire the swords from the chests inside.

Deliver the swords to Lennart, engage in combat alongside the villagers to defeat the soldiers, and relocate with Lennart and the villagers to Harve, where Ulrika will join them.

Upon completion of the quest, ascend the hill to Sigurd’s house, inquire about his fighting style, and finally unlock the Mystic Spearhand vocation.

Magick Archer:

šŸ‰ Master Every Path: Dragonā€™s Dogma 2 Vocations List (2024)

The Magick Archer is all about unleashing pure magical power through their attacks. They excel in long-range combat, using magical arrows to both shoot and cast spells. With these arrows, hitting the target is guaranteed, and since they’re elemental, you can exploit enemy weaknesses by targeting them accordingly.

Unlocking the Magick Archer Class:

Journeying to the Volcanic Island is key to unlocking the Magick Archer. However, beware of the challenging terrain and high-level enemies along the connecting roads. You’ll need to navigate clever shortcuts to reach your destination safely.

As you travel south, you’ll encounter a dwarven Gautstafr who seeks relief for his ailing back. He’ll request three wildflowers to concoct a cure and accompany him to his home, the Windwalker’s Home, located on a small island just off the main road.

Upon reaching Gautstafr’s home, you’ll meet his partner, an elven woman named Cliodhna. Tasked with escorting Gautstafr to the volcanic hot springs further south, you’ll encounter Cliodhna once more.

Completing the escort mission at the hot springs earns you Cliodhna’s gratitude and unlocks the Magick Archer vocation for you.

Trickster

The Trickster masters the art of weaving illusions with smoke from their Censer. These illusions manipulate enemies into turning against each other. Additionally, they can conjure a spectral clone to divert enemy attention.

As a Trickster, they can fabricate deceptive terrain features like false cliffs or walls, invisible to enemies but advantageous for strategic attacks. Moreover, they enhance the capabilities of Pawns.

How to Unlock Trickster:

Embark on a challenging journey to the Reverent Shrine in the desert land of Battahl. Only high-level adventurers dare to tread these sands. At the shrine, engage in conversation with Luz, the ethereal woman haunting its grounds. Pose her a question, and in return, she grants you access to the Trickster vocation.

Warfarer:

The Warfarer is versatile, wielding a combination of three weapons throughout the game. With this flexibility, you can seamlessly transition between three different vocations, harnessing skills from your selected weapons and vocations.

This adaptability empowers you to tailor your approach to various foes and surroundings. However, mastery of weapons and tactical acumen are essential for success in combat scenarios.

How to Unlock Warfarer:

To unlock the Warfarer, head to the Volcanic Island’s hot springs, the southernmost spot in the game. There, you’ll meet a lazy guy named Lamond chilling outside the reception desk. Talk to him, and he’ll ask for a special drink.

Now, there’s no booze in Dragonā€™s Dogma 2, but you can whip up something called Newt Liqueur. Just mix Fruit Wine with a Saurian Tail, which you can get by chopping off a Saurian’s tail.

To find Fruit Wine, keep an eye out for random quests that reward you with it. Lamond wants three bottles of Newt Liqueur to spill the beans about the Warfarer vocation.

Next, head to Bakbattahl and find Higgsā€™s Tavern Standand. There’s a secret Newt Liquer seller upstairs, but to get in, you gotta be a beastren. Grab a Beastren Mask from a merchant in Checkpoint Rest Town.

Now, at Higgsā€™s Tavern Stand, move some sandbags into a pen nearby, and you’ll get access to the secret seller upstairs. They’ve got Newt Liqueurs for 5,000 gold each.

Once you’ve got the drinks, go back to Lamond and hand them over. He’ll happily unlock the Warfarer vocation for you. And there you have it, your guide to all the vocations in Dragonā€™s Dogma 2!
